ActionPac develops and manufactures equipment and systems to automate all aspects of production packaging. A second generation, family-owned company, we’ve got 45 years of designing, building and servicing automated packaging machinery under our belts.

When ActionPac began developing net-weigh systems and packaging automation we started in specialty coffee, way back last century. Along the way, over the turn of the century, we have developed systems for all sectors such as consumer goods, food/IQF, bulk nuts, snacks, pharma, defense, aerospace, agriculture, etc. Many of our clients are well known and every system is unique.

We work hard for our clients. ActionPac has over 4,000 systems located on every continent, except Antarctica of course, and nearly every country. Our secret: we care, we provide service, and our systems are built to last. The first machine we ever built is still in use today and we still service it.

We can’t afford for only part of a system to work or to provide “off the shelf” equipment to customers, expecting them to learn it, on their own. We can’t afford to take you for granted. We price competitively and provide reasonable lead times. We have boots on the ground with service by actual ActionPac Field Engineers that can often be arranged within the same week and for our domestic clients sometimes even the same day! Our History

Engineering Precision Since 1977

ActionPac’s story began in 1977, when John Dishion built a business around counting and industrial weighing equipment. Precision mattered from day one. That focus on accurate measurement became the foundation for the packaging systems we engineer today.

The Name Behind the Brand

On June 1, 1982, the business formally incorporated in Ventura County, California as Coastal Counting and Industrial Scale Company, Inc. The name reflected the company John had built: counting scales and industrial scales, rooted in coastal California.

Today, ActionPac is the trade name and Coastal Counting and Industrial Scale Company, Inc. is the corporation behind it. The name has evolved, but the company and its engineering foundation remain connected. ActionPac technology, including patented ROLLMASTER420™, MICRO420™ and TWISTMASTER420™ systems, carries that history forward.

More than 45 years later, the same focus remains: solve difficult production problems through precision, engineering and automation.

Patent Portfolio

The connection between ActionPac and Coastal Counting continues through our intellectual property. ActionPac innovations are protected through patents assigned to Coastal Counting and Industrial Scale Company, Inc., the corporation behind the ActionPac name.

Key issued patents include U.S. Patent No. 11,974,596 for an automatic filling machine, U.S. Patent No. 12,048,324 for a closing machine and U.S. Patent No. 12,263,971 for a product packaging assembly. These patents protect technology used across ROLLMASTER420™, TWISTMASTER420™ and MICRO420™ automated packaging systems.
